Who we are

This phrase suggests that by addressing and healing the wounds, experiences, and emotional needs of our youth, we lay the foundation for the emergence of a resilient and balanced adult.
The concept underscores the significance of early life experiences and the impact they have on shaping an individual's emotional landscape and overall development. This is what drives us at Thee Outlet.
We view our vision through the lens of the biblical concept of Seed to Harvest. We nurture our youth from the very beginning of their potential (the seed) to the full realization of their capabilities and contributions to society (the harvest). Much like the stages of a plant's growth, youth development involves careful cultivation, providing the essential nutrients of education, mentorship, and support to help them flourish.
Though each youth joins Thee Outlet at a different stage of their seed to harvest cycle, we meet them where they are at and provide them with the support they need to grow and flourish in their adult life.
Founded by Catrina Baker in 2021 as a nonprofit 501C3 organization, Thee Outlet Inc. was born from the desire to provide children from disadvantaged backgrounds with an outlet to share their deepest feelings and realize their true potential.
Catrina’s background in pediatrics exposed her to numerous youths that felt like they didn’t have a way out of their trauma or place to express themselves.
Catrina provided a listening ear, allowing them to talk without interruption or judgement. She saw how this approach changed the course of their life and pulled them out of a dark place.
Drawing from these experiences and her own struggles as a youth, Catrina’s faith guided her to create Thee Outlet and walk in her true calling.

Our Unique Approach

1. Practicing self-accountability and empowerment

We encourage youth to take ownership of their actions, choices, and personal growth. This heightens their sense of responsibility for their success and effects positive change. By cultivating self-awareness and a proactive mindset, our youth can navigate challenges with resilience, make informed decisions, and unlock their full potential.
2. Providing intergenerational mentorship

Our youth are surrounding by multi-generations of staff, guest speakers, and experienced community mentors. The presence of these adults diverse in experience and gender helps our youth build a valuable sense of confidence surrounded by female and male roles models.
3. Promoting an interactive, future driven approach

The collaborative and interactive nature of Thee Outlet’s interventions allows peers to learn about one another and encourage one another to build the best versions of themselves

Our Interventions

Regardless of the circumstances from which the youth within our communities are impacted, Thee Outlet Inc. believes in meeting them where they are at, providing education and vocational resources in a stable and safe environment.

Our interventions allow our youth to gather together in community and realize their potential. We supply the youth with financial literacy, automotive training, home economics, health & wellness, tutoring, and mentorship. Keeping these needs in the forefront allows us to plan to heal the child so the adult can appear.
